Anna Maria Island Fishing Report
Captain Aaron Lowman – November 23, 2015
Tampa Bay, Sarasota Bay, Anna Maria Island Waters
Grouper, Flounder
—A cold front has finally arrived, and has brought with it a change in the bait. It is becoming harder to find shiners off of the beaches and near structure. It is also a bit smaller. A switch to shrimp is probably your best bet with the cooler temperatures arriving.
—Grouper and flounder have still been biting, along with mangrove snapper, ladyfish, mackerel, and snook. Sheepshead will soon be plentiful, and these delicious fish are also great fighters.
—This week should be quite windy, with forecasts of 20+mph. If you can find a place out of the wind, you may still be able to catch a ton of fish. Good luck and have fun.
