—My clients have been experiencing some stellar inshore fishing around Anna Maria Island and Tampa Bay this month. June fishing has been the month of the snook and seatrout! When conditions are right, groups are catching snook and/or seatrout, until their arms get tired! Most of these spots are in less than 5′ of water, and fish are being caught on live bait, but lures do work in these situations as well.

—Moving out to the Anna Maria Island beaches and further out in the Gulf of Mexico; sharks, mangrove snapper, spanish mackerel, gag grouper and tarpon all make appearances in June. As long as the weather remains calm, Tampa Bay fishing in waters surrounding Anna Maria Island fishing can be spectacular in June. Book your trip early!
