—–Don “The Snake” Prudhomme, who was visiting fellow NHRA Hall of Famer and Anna Maria resident, Fred Miller, had a good weekend fishing Tampa Bay for snapper and sheepshead. Using small jigheads and live shrimp, Don and Fred had good luck fishing around some of the artificial reefs scattered around the Bay.
—–Now that we have turned the corner into March, we will start looking for more opportunities to catch redfish and big trout.
—–Although shiners are not an easy catch on the grassflats, there are bait schools around the Skyway Bridge and these shiners will be fun to throw at the redfish and trout.
