Tarpon, Flounder, Grouper

Redfish, Snook, Trout
-We have experienced some heavy weather extremes here in Cortez, Florida this week. A late season cold front brought brutal wind and dropped water temps about 10° overnight!
-Despite all that, my clients pounded out a steady bag of seatrout, snook and redfish inshore in and around Tampa Bay and Sarasota Bay.

Redfish, Snook, Trout, Sheepshead
—With all the wind around the Tampa Bay area this week, I’ve been forced to stay inshore. My clients have been catching snook along Anna Maria mangrove shorelines, oyster bars, and channel edges. These fish are in panic mode, as they feel the approaching winter and must feed constantly. Live shiners, or jumbo live shrimp are the baits of choice.
